Point 1: Fonts

There isn't much to say here, this brochure uses fonts well. The headers are all the same, bold, font. The text within the sections is all the same basic font as well. The header font is very professional, as a university employment brochure should be.

Point 2: Colors

 Well, this is a High Point University brochure so the main colors we will be seeing is purple and white. Having purple and while allows this brochure to express a good range of light and dark colors.

Point 3: Contrast

 There is not much opportunity for contrast in this brochure. The only good contrast I notice is the very common black text on a white background.

Point 4: Tri-Fold Tips

 This is a basic tri-fold brochure. First, the cover is appealing as that it entices people who are looking for student employment at High Point University. The photo is probably showing an interaction between a potential employee and an employer. When I opened up the brochure the first thing it said is that this brochure is here to help you understand Student Employment. It simply stated what this brochure was meant to do, this is a good way to start the brochure. When I opened it up the rest of the brochure my eye was immediately attracted to the bullet points under the "What You Should Know" section. This is a good way to relay information in a simplistic way. The pictures show what kinds of jobs the students could be getting. Using pictures is a good way to help the readers understand what they are reading.

Overall this was a very well made brochure. Personally, I don't have any complaints with the brochure.

Shape and Scale

Character      Snake boi (name TBD) will be a cartoony-sprite based character. It is hard to use the 'head' method on a non-humanoid character, but if I were to use it he would be able to fit about 11ish heads throughout his body. Because he has a snake figure, it is very simple to scale his shape and size.            The shape of this character will simply be a bendy line with arms between his head and the middle of his body. He will sometimes be wearing a hoodie-type piece of clothing over his head. I'm also considering adding something decorative to his tail, but I'm not sure yet. Diagetic    When the button is pushed, it turns green and plays a sound. This is an example of a diagetic element because it is in the game world and is giving information back to the player. Meta    When the player is infected by a spider, an overlay of 'infectiousness' appears on the screen. The more infected you are, the harsher the overlay is. This is an example of meta because your character doesn't actually see this, but is part of the game world to show you, the player, that you are being infected. Non-Diagetic    Lost health is shown by the health circle in the bottom left of the UI. The more infected you are, the more the circle is blacked out. This is an example of Non-Diagetic because it isn't in the game world and the player can't see it. This is just for the player to know how much health they have left. Respecting Character

       Too many modern games fail to create real depth in their characters and often create a character that has already been made before, even if the art is a bit different. There are many stories of a character whose main purpose in life is saving a "damsel in distress" or simple revenge. Of course, there are some games that take these stereotypical characters with stories and turn them into something else, but they are few and far between. What games are missing right now are brand new stories that have not been traveled before? These types of stories are hard to create as there is rarely any basis for them and will require the writer to make the story from scratch.
